Karma: what goes around, comes around

What comes around: I have been so blessed and lucky to have many, many items given to me for my daughter. Clothes, toys, books, strollers and other gear... a car seat! The generosity amazes me and makes me humble. I am very thankful. Goes around: My mothers' group had a stuff swap recently and I was able to pass on things that we have outgrown here. I also was able to get more clothes in the next size up, and warm for the winter. After the swap, there were "leftover" items. I gathered them all up and kept the karma going today with a donation of clothing, toys, books, and such to the local YWCA battered women's shelter. It felt really good to know that I was helping some ladies and families start a new life. I can't imagine what it must be like to have to escape from a situation with the clothes on your back, because any planning to leave might be discovered and could cost you your life. I hope my modest contribution (on behalf of the group) will make a difference.

Joining the 21st Century

Well, this is it. I am entering the world of blogging. I have several intentions that brought me to this, mainly to share updates about my little daughter with friends and family. I also am frequently struck by random thoughts that I would like to share, but the constraints of time and place limit me. Hopefully this will be all that, and more!
